When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. To follow pattern more easily, circle all numbers pertaining to your size before beginning. All Sizes Eyelet Yoke Row 1 (RS): Working first and last 5 sts in Seed st as established, knit. Row 2: Rep Row 1. Row 3: Work first 5 sts in Seed st, (k2tog, yo) to last 5 6 (6, 6, 5, 5) sts, work last 5 6 (6, 6, 5, 5)sts in Seed st. GAUGE: 20 sts + 24 rows = 4 in. (10 cm) in St st (k on RS, p on WS). BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. STITCH EXPLANATION: Seed Stitch (over odd number of sts) Row 1: *K1, p1; rep from * across, end with k1. Row 2: K the purl sts and p the knit sts. Rep Row 2 for Seed st. NOTES: 1. Back, Fronts, and Sleeves are worked back and forth on circular needle to armhole, then joined and worked in one piece for yoke. 2. Circular needle is used to accommodate large number of stitches. 3. Sweater is knit at a slightly tight gauge.

CARDIGAN BACK Cast on 51 (55, 59, 65, 69) sts. Work 6 rows in Seed st. Change to St st (k on RS, p on WS) and work until piece measures 4 1/2 (5 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 1/4, 9 1/4) in. (11.5 (14, 16.5, 18.5, 23.5) cm) from beg; end with a WS row. Shape Armhole Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows – 45 (49, 53, 59, 63) sts. Place sts on a holder. LEFT FRONT Cast on 29 (31, 33, 35, 37) sts. Work 6 rows in Seed st. Next Row (RS): K to last 5 sts, place marker, work last 5 sts in Seed st as established for front band. Next Row: Work in Seed st to marker, p to end of row. Continue as established, keeping 5 sts in Seed st for front band and remaining sts in St st, until piece measures 4 1/2 (5 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 1/4, 9 1/4) in. (11.5 (14, 16.5, 18.5, 23.5) cm) from beg; end with a WS row. Shape Armhole Bind off 3 sts at beg of next row – 26 (28, 30, 32, 34) sts. Next Row: Purl. Place sts on a holder. RIGHT FRONT Cast on 29 (31, 33, 35, 37) sts. Work 6 rows in Seed st. Next Row (RS): Work first 5 sts in Seed st as established for front band, place marker, k to end of row. Next Row: P to marker, work last 5 sts in Seed st. Continue in St st, keeping 5 sts in Seed st for front band until piece measures 4 1/2 (5 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 1/4, 9 1/4) in. SLEEVE (make 2) Cast on 31 (33, 33, 33, 35) sts. Work 6 rows in Seed st. Knit 1 row, purl 1 row. Continue in St st, increasing 1 st at each end every other row 5 (2, 0, 0, 0) times, every 4th row 3 (6, 8, 9, 9) times – 47 (49, 49, 51, 53) sts. Work even in St st until Sleeve measures 4 1/2 (5 1/2, 6 1/2, 7 1/4, 9 1/4) in. (11.5 (14, 16.5, 18.5, 23.5) cm) from beg; end with a WS row. Shape Armhole Bind off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows – 41 (43, 43, 45, 47) sts. Place sts on a holder. YOKE With RS facing, place sts from holders back onto needle in the following order: Right Front, Sleeve, Back, Sleeve, Left Front – 179 (191, 199, 213, 225) sts. Row 1 (RS): Keeping 5 sts for front bands in Seed st, knit 1 row, dec 4 (6, 4, 3, 5) sts evenly spaced across row – 175 (185, 195, 210, 220) sts. Row 2: Purl. For Sizes 3 and 4 only Next 2 Rows: Work in St st. All Sizes Eyelet Yoke Row 1 (RS): Working first and last 5 sts in Seed st as established, knit. Row 2: Rep Row 1.
